Choosing a Wedding Venue

Your wedding day is the absolute greatest day of your life. Traditionally, your only venue options would involve a church or registry office ceremony followed by assorted curled up sandwiches, tepid sausage rolls and a variety of uninspiring drinks at a local village hall or dingy pub, whilst a deejay span thirty year old tracks that he rolled out for every Tom, Dick and Harry.
In this day and age, however, the options available to you as a prospective married couple are myriad and diverse. Your wedding should be all about you and your spouse, and the entire day and the venue should reflect this acutely. Whatever you decide to do and whichever venue you decide to use for your wedding, we can tailor it accurately to your needs.
Why stick to the traditional, boring wedding ceremony venues? You can marry in any location that has a license to offer marriages, whether the venue is a medieval castle, four or even five star hotel, a public building, a tree house or even a registered garden shed. Many people choose a venue at sea, be it a luxury ocean liner, private yacht or even a hovercraft. You could also choose a wedding venue abroad. This could be a themed wedding chapel, such as the Barbie and Ken or Elvis chapels, in Las Vegas, a Drive Through convenience wedding in California or an exotic, class beach wedding in somewhere hot, such as Bali or Mauritius.
Essentially, when choosing the venue for your wedding ceremony, you should decide exactly where you wish to hold it and how you want your wedding to reflect your personality. Are you religious? If so, there are many religious sites world-wide where you could be married. If not, what aspect of your personality would you like your wedding to represent? Are you kooky enough for a fancy-dressed themed wedding at a themed venue? Do you want an elegant, sophisticated location to say “I do”?
Obviously, your choice of venue for your reception is equally important. You must give thought to the amount of money that you are prepared to spend and what you truly want for your special day. Do you want a venue with possibilities for a large, loud disco or would you prefer something more intimate and quiet?
One of the most important factors is of course location, location, location. You must consider, when choosing your wedding venue, its relative proximity to all of your family, friends and special loved ones. Can they all afford to reach the venue? Will they be able to stay there or in alternative, more affordable accommodation nearby? Will there be enough space to fit all of them on the dance floor for a giant conga or even to dance the agadoo?
Whatever you choose for the venue for your special day, make sure you enjoy yourself. Your venue is every bit as important as the cake, the dress, the bridesmaids, the music and the flowers in making this a memorable day for you and your spouse.
